EcoWool Classic blanket is a specifically designed glass mineral wool for fire safety, thermal and acoustical insulation. The new generation of glass mineral wool has been engineered to provide the highest level of insulation performance, for building occupants to achieve the optimum level of indoor comfort deserved.

Applications
ROOF: Application focused, it combines cost efficiency with the highest standard of insulation performance when installed under metal deck roofs or clay tiled roofs. The insulation acts as a highly effective barrier to heat flow, keeping your building cool during hot weather and conserving the cool air indoors.

HVAC: Recommended as a thermal insulation for the exterior of HVAC systems or other spaces or surfaces where temperature control is required. EcoWool Classic blanket meets typical industry standards for the core and tensile strength, which makes the product more resistant to damage during lamination and installation. The flexible and light weight features allow the insulation to conform easily around corners and curved surfaces and is readily cut in die presses of with a knife.

PARTITION WALL: Application focused, EcoWool Classic blanket is designed specifically for press-fit installation without the need for stapling or fastening. It can be fitted between timber or steel studs in a wall cavity application. They resist vibration or shakedown and fit readily around uneven surfaces.

EcoWool Classic blanket is free from CFCs, HCFCs and any other material with ozone depletion in their manufacture/composition content, and represent no known threat to the environment. Made from nearly 80% recycled glass and locally sourced raw materials, EcoWool Classic blanket range of glass mineral wool is perfectly in tune with sustainability and environmental concerns.

Absorbs Disturbing Sound
Exceptional sound-absorbing properties. Specially designed to reduce transmission of unwanted noise through roof and partition wall in industrial, residential and commercial buildings. The acoustic performance of the insulation material can reduce substantial amount of rain noise compared to a metal roof with no insulation.
EcoWool Classic reduces the transmission of HVAC noises such as air turbulence, popping and cracking.

Better fibre network
Fine, longer and evenly distributed fibre network helps in creating better tensile strength allowing the insulation to demonstrate superior durability, flexibility and feeling much softer.

Optimal fibre diameter
Optimal fibre diameter ranging from 4-5 micron produces more air chamber which enables the insulation to provide a better and enhanced performance.

Corrosiveness
Chemically inert. Will not cause or accelerate corrosion of steel, stainless steel, copper or aluminium due to its specially inorganic and mineral composition.

Mould Growth
Does not encourage growth of mould, fungus, bacteria of rodents.

Odour Emission
Does not emit any unpleasant odour

Fire Hazard Properties
• EcoWool insulation is non-combustible when tested in accordance with AS1530 Part 1: 1994
• EcoWool insulation achieve the following Early Fire Hazard Performance Indices of; Ignitability 0, Spread of Flame 0, Heat Evolved 0, Smoke Developed 0-1, in accordance with AS1530.3:1999;

Surface Burning Characteristics
Meets the surface burning characteristics and limited combustibility of the following standards (plain/unfaced): • ASTM E84

Thermal Conductivity
Complies with ASTM C518 at 23˚C mean temperature. Please refer to the table on product available for more information on the thermal resistance. EcoWool Classic blanket complies with AS/NZS 4859:1-2002 “Material used in the thermal insulation of a building”, and the Building Code of Australia (BCA)

Acoustical Performance
EcoWool Classic blanket acts as a natural and effective sound barrier. It is amongst the most effective acoustic insulation solutions when sound proofing required *

Avaliable Facings

EcoWool Classic blanket can be supplied with a range of factory applied reinforced reflective facing of various duty grades.
Un-faced or Plain – designed for predictable thermal insulation performance with added benefit of being an effective sound absorption material

Faced – designed for additional features of condensation control, vapour barrier and ZERO fibre migration. Please refer to the type of facing material available.

Bushfire Attack Level (BAL)

EcoWool Classic blanket is suitable for sealing ember entry points at valleys, ridges and fascia’s whilst the available facings comply with BCA flammability index requirement of ≤ 5
